Jumbo Charcoal Group Scheme

Jumbo Charcoal aims to enhance social, environmental and economic benefits for group scheme members and the community as well as promote sustainable charcoal production and bush thinning practices. This is possible through international forest standards certification. Environmental and Social Risk Assessments (ESRAs)

ECC has conducted comprehensive Environmental and Social Risk Assessments (ESRAs) for each active ingredient used within the Jumbo Group Scheme’s operations. These assessments are available upon request.

Based on the findings from these ESRAs and the guidelines outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS):

  • No risks to neighbouring properties have been identified under the conditions of application.
  • The use of these active ingredients complies with the safety and environmental standards outlined in the applicable ESRA and MSDS documentation.

We remain committed to ensuring the responsible use of all substances and adhering to best practices for environmental and social management.

 

Publicly available information and Enquiries:

 There are a total of 32 aspects that need to be monitored when certifying land as sustainable under this international forest standard.
