ECC’s proudly Namibian Principal leads the ECC team as the lead Environmental Practitioner with a strong and dedicated environmental background. Mr Bezuidenhout has leading practice experience in fields of construction, oil and gas, agriculture, rehabilitation, monitoring compliance and consultancy obtained from leading professionals.

ECC’s lead practitioner for our major projects and community engagement team with over eleven years of experience. Offering expertise in the fields of operations, water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, environmental approvals, legal and compliance, minimising operational impacts, community liaison, including indigenous relationship management, mine closure and rehabilitation.

Piet Smit holds a BSc. Agric (Hons) degree from the University of Pretoria and has over 18 years of environmental management experience in various minerals, including extensive involvement in water management, waste management and rehabilitation projects.
