Kokoseb Gold Mine Project 132 kV overhead power supply and associated infrastructure

The Proponent, Mandarin Investments (Pty) Ltd, on behalf of Namibia Power Corporation (NamPower) (Pty) Ltd, proposes to construct a 90 km long 132 kV overhead power supply and associated infrastructure from the NamPower Omburu substation to the proposed Kokoseb Gold Mine Project on ML 274. Associated infrastructure will include a 132 kV metering station, which will be developed approximately 10 km away from the mine, and power will be transmitted to a 132/11 kV substation, located close to the mine processing plant via a 10 km monopole line. The overhead powerline will supply the energy required for various mine operational activities throughout the LoM.
