Proposed B2Gold underground mining amendment, Otjozondjupa Region.

Introducing underground mining to the existing B2Gold Otjikoto Gold Mine operations

Environmental Compliance Consultancy (ECC) has been engaged by B2GOLD Namibia (Pty) Ltd the proponent, to act on their behalf for the application to amend the existing and approved environmental clearance certificate for the Otjikoto Gold Mine to include the activities of underground mining, in the Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia.

The proposed amendment includes introducing underground mining to the existing B2Gold Otjikoto Gold Mine operations, in order to safely and economically extract ore at depth.

ECC’s Role

Environmental Compliance Consultancy (ECC) has been engaged by B2Gold Namibia (Pty) Ltd (the proponent) to undertake an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in terms of the Environmental Management Act No 7 of 2007 and its Regulations.
