Toshari Lodge has been fully built and is currently in operation. Its construction took place in several phases, culminating in the opening of the lodge to tourism in the year 2000. The most recent additions to the lodge, some additional rooms, were completed in 2023. Situated adjacent to the C38 main road on portion 1 of Farm Afguns 447. Toshari Lodge is strategically positioned, approximately 26 km to the south of Etosha National Park’s Anderson Gate and about 73 km to the north of Outjo.
ECC has been contracted by Toshari Lodge CC as the independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to facilitate the entire ESIA process. Prior to the start of the proposed projects, an environmental clearance certificate is required in terms of the Environmental Management Act, 7 of 2007 and the associated EIA Regulations. A final decision relating to the above-mentioned application will be made by Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT): Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA)
