Low impact exploration activities on EPL 7213, EPL 7214 and EPL 7342

Votorantim undertakes mineral exploration in Namibia and proposes to undertake low impact exploration activities on EPL 7213, EPL 7214 and EPL 7342 for base and rare metals, industrial minerals, precious metals, semi-precious stones in the Kunene and Otjozondjupa Regions.

ECC’s Role

Environmental Compliance Consultancy (ECC) has been engaged by the proponent (Votorantim Metals Namibia (Pty) Ltd) to undertake an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in terms of the Environmental Management Act, 2007 and its Regulations. An environmental clearance application will be submitted to the relevant competent authorities; the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET).

Environmental Compliance Consultancy CC (ECC) hereby gives notice to the public that an application for an Environmental Clearance Certificate in accordance with the Environmental Management Act, 2007 will be made.
